Quote of the Day...

"Geese and swans are renowned for their loyalty to their mates, but none surpasses the Bowick's swan for lifelong marital fidelity. Divorce is extremely rare for these devoted pairs, even when they fail to raise young during their long lives".

Milk Snake...

Milk snakes feed on a wide variety of animals including mice, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, reptile eggs, birds and birds eggs. They are a type of kingsnake and will consume venomous snakes when they chance upon them. They are at least partially immune to the venom of the venomous snakes in their range and many venomous serpents will use defensive tactics other than biting to protect themselves from kingsnakes. Young snakes comprise a large portion of a baby milk snakes diet, but they are not found to be the most significant food item for adults (Breckenridge, 1944). Adults consume mainly rodents. Milk snakes are constrictors and kill their food by suffocation. Milk snakes are so named because it was once believed that these snakes would enter barns and steal milk from cows. This is false; snakes only drink water. They would become sick if they were to drink cows milk. Snakes also have sharp teeth; no cow would stand still for that! The milk snakes were in the barns actually helping the farmers by looking for rodents to eat

A Trip To the land of beauty...

South Africa is a huge country at the Southern tip of the African continent. The climate is mainly dry and sunny, and is usually cooler in the highlands.
South Africa is well known for its amazing wildlife which includes elephants, giraffes, rhinos, crocodiles and hippos. The country also has beautiful wildlife and landscapes, from wildflowers and succulents to the savannah type vegetation in the North.
Cape Town is a beautiful city between the mountains and the sea, where European and African influences meet. The city is overlooked by the 1km high, flat topped Table Top Mountain, and is in easy reach of vineyards and beaches.
Durban is a subtropical city in the North East, with great nightlife and surf beaches. Johannesburg is the largest city with great weather and a multiracial music and theatre scene. In Kruger National Park you can see the ‘big five’ wild animals – lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos.
Outdoor activities to enjoy in South Africa include hiking, mountain biking, safaris, hang gliding, ballooning, rafting and surfing.

Red Wolves...

Red Wolves generally roam in small packs usually consisting of an adult pair and their offspring. Red wolves can breed as early as their second year and have 3 to 5 pups each. In order for the red wolves to survive in the wild they need anywhere from 10 and 100 square miles of habitat to hunt and live. Red wolves have become extinct due to hybridization with other wolves such as the grey wolf and Mexican wolf and the coyotes. Red wolves have also lost their habitat but are beginning to be reintroduced by the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge in North Carolina. There are special anatomical, physiological
or behavioral adaptations such as:
When a red wolf is trapped or feels threatened he will hold his tail upright and snarl exposing only canines and a few front teeth. He will also raise the hair on his neck and back.

It's a site that centers around UNILAG (University of Lagos Nigeria) communities, Which automatically involes the students, lecturers, news, campus events...and so on. It's a medium for one to express oneself and also, aspiring student entreprenuer, here is your chance of actually seizing your future by simply doing what you love.
